SPS Score

Dear Parents,

I have great news!  The state department has finally released the School Performance Scores for all schools in Louisiana.  Each year the Louisiana Department of Education looks at how students perform on the LEAP test.  Based on several factors, including assessment and growth index, the LDOE assigns each school a Student Performance Score accompanied by a letter grade.  I am very happy to say that Seventh Ward has come out on top again this year!

Seventh Ward Elementary is once again an A school!!!! We  reached new heights with a performance score of 94.9 A, reflecting a 1.8 point increase, and also reached our highest performance score ever.

I want to thank all of our teachers and students for their hard work year after year to make Seventh Ward Elementary the best it can be!  I am so proud of all of our students and teachers.  I also want to thank you, our parents and community.  You are a part of our success, and we can’t do it without you!

On Monday, November 13, we celebrated with pizza parties!  All classes were treated to a pizza party.  I am so proud to be your principal!  Thank you for your part in our success!

Sincerely,

Marlene Primeaux
